Terms of Service (Book’in)
Last updated: 2026-03-03
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Book’in, a booking platform that helps customers schedule appointments with independent businesses. By using Book’in, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Book’in does
Book’in provides software that allows customers to view services, request appointments, and pay deposits (when required) for participating businesses.
Book’in is a platform provider. Services are performed by the business you book with, not by Book’in.
2. Eligibility and acceptable use
- You must provide accurate booking and contact information.
- You may not use Book’in for fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access attempts.
- You may not interfere with the platform, payment flow, or booking availability.
3. Bookings and business responsibility
- Each business is responsible for its services, pricing, availability, and policies.
- Book’in does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of services provided by any business.
- Questions about a specific service (including service results) should be directed to the business you booked with.
4. Deposits, payments, and refunds
- Some bookings require a deposit. The deposit amount and terms are shown during checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Book’in does not store full card numbers.
- Refund eligibility depends on the business’s cancellation policy and the booking status.
- If a refund is approved, processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
5. Cancellations and no-shows
- You can cancel bookings through the booking flow when cancellation is available.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may result in loss of deposit, based on the business’s policy.
- Book’in may prevent cancellation for past, completed, or otherwise finalized bookings.
6. SMS and email notifications
- If you opt in, Book’in may send transactional messages such as confirmations, reminders, and booking updates by SMS and/or email.
- Program name: Book'in Appointment Notifications
- Support: admin@livebookin.com
- Message frequency: Customers receive up to 2 SMS per appointment (a confirmation and one reminder about 60 minutes before). Customers may also receive additional messages only if an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled. Business owners receive 1 SMS per new booking when SMS notifications are enabled.
- Opt-in method: You opt in by checking an optional, unchecked checkbox on the booking “Enter Details” step (step 3). Consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages. Reply HELP for help.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device.
- For full SMS consent details, see our SMS Consent page. For information on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Platform availability
Book’in aims to keep the platform available and working, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages, third-party failures, or internet issues may affect access.
8. Third-party services
Book’in relies on third-party providers to operate parts of the service, including:
- Stripe (payments)
- Twilio (SMS delivery)
- Email provider (transactional email delivery)
Your use of payment or messaging functionality may also be subject to those providers’ terms and policies.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Book’in is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the platform.
Book’in is also not liable for disputes between customers and businesses, including service quality, service outcomes, scheduling disputes, or business conduct.
10. Changes to these Terms
Book’in may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of Book’in after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
